Nissen 3796. – Komplette Folge mit allen 20 Tafeln, obwohl das Tafelverzeichnis nur 16 Blätter aufführt. Großformatige Insekten-Kompositionen in kräftigen Deckfarben: Jede Tafel mit einer dekorativen Anordnung von Käfern, Schmetterlingen, Libellen etc., dazu ein Verzeichnis zu Herkunft und wissenschaftlicher Benennung. "In comparison with their variety and brilliance, much Art Deco illustration seems pallid and constrained. And of course their large format makes them particularly attractive for exhibition puposes" (Ray, The Art Deco Book in France). "Extremely little is known about E. A. Seguy who was active in Paris from 1900 to 1925. His mastery of decorative design and coloration is evident in the beautiful pochoir portfolios he created. Unusual in his capacity to span the Art Nouveau and Art Deco periods, Seguy's portfolio's remain exquisite examples of ornamentation and composition" (Kiama Art Gallery). – Die beiden Textblätter gleichmäßig schwach gebräunt, die meisten der Insektentafeln lose.
