The American-German photographer Will McBride is celebrated for his candid and empathetic photographs of youth, sexuality and everyday life in postwar Germany. With an unguarded approach, he captured the changing attitudes and experiences of a younger generation. His compassionate eye and the trust he established with his subjects resulted in photographs that remain striking for their honesty, intimacy and emotional depth.
