"The author says, that after having translated the 'View of the History of Great Britain during the Administration of Lord North', he thought he might substitute in its place a less prolix and more complete history, preserving all that was useful, agreeable, and interesting in the English work; and adding a narrative of events which would comprise a complete account of the American war." (Sabin). Eine Übersetzung von Lord Norths "History of administration" mit sehr umfangreichen Zusätzen von Hilliard, sodaß dieser durchaus als Verfasser dieses Werkes gelten kann. – Karte innen mit kleinem Einriss. Gering gebräunt, tls. etwas braunfleckig, gegen Ende schwach wasserrandig.
