Gjon Mili’s work is renowned for its groundbreaking use of high-speed and stroboscopic photography, capturing motion in ways previously unseen. Working with Harold Edgerton at MIT, Mili developed lighting techniques that revolutionized the depiction of movement. His collaboration with artists like Pablo Picasso and Martha Graham, along with his dynamic images for Life magazine, transformed sports, dance, and performance photography, expanding the artistic possibilities of capturing motion in a single frame.
