Hélène Binet is a Swiss-French photographer based in London. She is also one of the leading architectural photographers in the world. The Pavilion designed by Zaha Hadid for the Landesgartenschau "Grün 99" was her second building in Weil, after the Vitra Fire Station, 1993. It served as an exhibition space during the show. Today the building is occupied by the Trinationales Umweltzentrum (TRUZ). – In very good condition.

This image was reproduced on the cover of "Ogonyok" for the 1960 Olympic Games in Rome. – Small retouched spot in upper left corner a few light pressure marks, otherwise in very good condition.

The Swiss photographer Balthasar Burkhard mainly worked in black and white and printed his photographs himself, often in huge dimensions, and framed his images in iron frames behind glass. He often worked in cycles. His cityscapes, landscapes or deserts are mostly taken from a bird's-eye-view perspective - photographed from helicopters or atop skyscrapers. He is internationally recognized as an important minimalist artist, with works in several international museums and public collections. An exhibition of his work was recently shown at the Fotomuseum Winterthur and Museum Folkwang in Essen. The majority of images offered here are Mexico City. These smaller formats are unique as Burkhard usually printed these images in very large sizes circa 130 x 250 cm. – Some light buckling in edges, a few with bumped corners, one with crease mark in upper right, otherwise in good condition.

Harry Callahan was born in Detroit, Michigan and started photographing in 1938. In 1946, he was appointed by László Moholy-Nagy to teach photography at the Institute of Design in Chicago. By the time he retired in 1977, he was teaching at the Rhode Island School of Design. His technical method was to go out almost every morning, walk the city he lived in and take numerous pictures. He then spent almost every afternoon making proof prints of that day's best negatives. He also traveled extensively. Yet, in spite of all his activity, Callahan, by his own estimates, produced no more than half a dozen final images a year. – Some light handling marks in margins, otherwise in very good condition with strong colors.

Some of the photos in this group document important turning points in 20th century Chinese history, such as Zhou Enlai with the Red Guards or the huge mourning rally on the occasion of Zhou's death in 1976 in Tiananmen Square, which was the cause of the so-called "Tiananmen Incident". Another picture shows the new party chairman Hua Guofeng during his 1977 tour of Europe in Romania or Yugoslavia, omitting the Soviet Union. Also included are two images of the modern Beijing Opera. – Some with stronger traces of use/ creases, edges curled, otherwise several in good condition.

Theodor Rehbock (born in Holland) became one of the most important German hydraulic engineers of his time. Due to the colonial wars against the Herero in Nama Rehbock could not carry out his projects in Namibia.The images offered in this publication were taken by Rehbock before the Herero uprising. – In very good condition.

Although "Metropolis" did not enjoy the expected success during its premiere, audiences were impressed with the technical tricks and visual effects, which remain an iconic element of cinematography today.
