Since its first auction in 1963, Galerie Gerda Bassenge has been associated with rare books and autographs.
Sales of valuable and rare books from all areas such as manuscripts and incunabula,
great works of literature and book illustration of the 17th century, and modern literature characterize our house’s profile.
Our selection ranges from the impressive atlas from the early renaissance period to the artist’s book from the small private press.
Twice a year, in Spring and Fall, the wide spectrum of the antiquarian book trade and bibliophily is presented
in our richly color-illustrated catalogues.
A selection of decorative prints and a section with autographs of well-known personalities enhance our range.
Important collections are presented in separate catalogues with comprehensive descriptions,
as well as an attractive presentation for both the eye and the mind.
