Photo agencies: Associated Press, Atlantic, Scherl Bilderdienst, Weltbild and Wide World Photos. Chamberlain's visit to Germany 1938. 23 vintage ferrotyped press prints. Most circa 16 x 22 cm, some smaller. Each with agency stamp and typed press text labels affixed to the verso.

This series of press photos were taken during one of the most important turning points in world history. It shows Chamberlain together with Ribbentrop, Hitler, Mussolini and Daladier during negotiations in Munich, as well as in Bad Godesberg in the same year. Other images show the optimistic Chamberlain before his departure from Heston airport, surrounded by his ministers. – Some with slight traces of use, some with discoloration, otherwise most in good condition.

Signed, dated and titled in black crayon in lower white margin; photographer's stamp, therein signed, dated and titled by the photographer in black crayon on the verso.

Peter Thomann studied photography under Dr. Otto Steinert at the Folkwang School in Essen. As of 1968 he was under contract with Stern magazine. – A few small indentation spots in upper area, crease in lower margin, otherwise in very good condition.

Aldo Durazzi worked for various news agencies and magazines before founding his own photo agency DUfoto in the 1950s. He also worked for Life, Time and National Geographic. This is a striking portrait of Andy Warhol taken when he was in Rome in 1972. – Slightly curled in edges, otherwise in excellent condition.

In 1953 Doris Martha Weber was awarded the "Stuyvesant Peabody Memorial Award for the Greatest Service to Pictorial Photography" by the Photographic Society of America. Five of her industrial images are in the collection of the Smithsonian Institute. – Some light surface rubbing, minimal edge wear, glue residue from outing on verso, otherwise in good condition.
